On the culture war front, potheads win in Mass. and Michigan; Nebraska outlaws the racist practice of affirmative action; killing the terminally ill became easier in Washington state; unborn children will continue to be slaughtered with abandon in South Dakota and Colorado; and homosexuals' attempt to destroy marriage goes down in flames in California.

A mixed bag to be sure, though the most notable vote was the slapdown of the homosexual "marriage" movement, adding to a 27-state rejection of the effort to re-define marriage out of existence.

It's tough to overcome the natural law, common sense, and 6,000 years of the Western understanding of marriage.
