A Reuters report tells the story:
A California prison inmate was shot and wounded and 12 others were sent to the hospital with stab and slash wounds and head trauma on Wednesday after a riot at theCalifornia State Prison-Sacramento in the city of Folsom, prison officials said.
Rioting involving 60 inmates broke out in the late morning, prompting prison officers to fire six shots with a rifle, wounding one of the inmates, officials said.
We're still waiting for the powers to be to tell us what means modern society has for rendering offenders harmless such that resort to the death penalty is no longer necessary.

Catholic careers....as in paying the mortgage and not having to drive a taxi after not achieving tenure in a Catholic school... puts a lid on any paid Catholics constructively criticizing the logic of ccc 2267. There are not only developments in the Church but there are regressions in the Church from Popes in Church history. Pope Innocent IV mandating burning heretics in 1253 was a regression ( see "Inquisition" new advent) and Pope Nicholas V giving Portugal in 1453 a license to enslave was a regression ( see "Romanus Pontifex" mid 4th large paragraph). Those were rigorist/ hard on humanity... regressions. Now that the Church has lost her connections to powerful Kings etc. in the last two hundred years, now her regressions ( ccc 2267) are not hard but soft or excessively indulgent on the guilty. Think Cardinal Law...Cardinal Sodano ( still head of the college of Cardinals after shielding Maciel...(connected to him through construction contracts to Sodano's relatives).
Folsom guards like to shoot first and ask quastions later.

There are at least 3 areas of matching DNA belonging to a white male, who we now know is ROBERT ADOLPH ENYART. The first 2 areas of DNA were identified immediately under her fingernails and in her underwear. The third area of DNA was identified in 2008 through a revolutionary DNA collection process called "Touch DNA." By this new evidence, the Boulder DA cleared the Ramseys. The DA said there is no innocent explanation for having matching DNA in 3 areas on JonBenet's person.
